About Me
Dreams can be a reality for anyone, no matter how big or how small;
and I believe that I get to live my dream every day.
Music is something that we connect with and share with others,
be it showing your favourite song - or maybe even getting to play it;
that is one of the things that makes me so passionate about being a drum teacher.
Every great journey starts with the first step.
My first encounter with music was in Grade 4 where I chose Percussion. This followed through with me continuing to High School and being part of as many of the Performing Arts programs which were on offer (there were a lot) and discovering the loud and marvellous instrument - the Drum Kit. I took up private drum lessons for all 5 years of high school, later continuing to follow drums at university and receiving a Diploma of Music - Drum Major at JMC Academy, Brisbane.
I am proudly playing drums in 2 Brisbane-based bands - Space Flamingo & Upsetter.
Space Flamingo & Upsetter both have songs & EP's available on all streaming platforms.
I believe that my hardworking attitude and personality is what has helped me start to gain a respected name within the industry. I am also a big believer in sharing knowledge, helping others and, most importantly, being a positive role-model for those I can inspire to follow their true passion; even if it's not music.
Space Flamingo
Space Flamingo has been performing in the local Brisbane scene for well over 5 years and is currently in the process of recording an epic 5 track EP releasing late 2024.
Upsetter
Upsetter has been on tour with local Australian bands Reside (Oct 2023) and Heists + Stepson (April 2024), so I have been grateful to experience touring life on the road playing in Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Newcastle, Wollongong & Sydney.

FAQ
what age?
Anyone can begin learning Drums at any age!
The earlier the better but remember it is never too late to start.
Location
The studio I operate my lessons from is located at Bowen Hills, not far from Brisbane City.
Parking is available out front (limited), on the street, or even just up the road.
However, if this is too far for you I do offer Online Lessons where you can learn from the comfort of your own home!

If you have never picked up a pair of drum sticks before, let's change that!
I love to teach beginners or those who have not had much experience.
